Thinkingbox is led by 3 female Managing Directors
Thinkingbox welcomes two new managing directors to lead their Vancouver and Los Angeles offices. Making the Studio’s 3 offices run by an all women team!
After another amazing year of growth, Thinkingbox has expanded its leadership team by hiring three Managing Directors for each of its respected offices. The Managing Directors will oversee the day-to-day operations, making Thinkingbox one of the few Production Studios across the globe with all its offices run by female executives.
These roles are new to Thinkingbox and required two outside hires in addition to Christine Clark’s promotion in 2018 to Managing Director of Toronto. Hiring Rania Hattar to lead the Los Angeles office and Sarah Scott as our Vancouver office’s New Managing Director.
Thinkingbox promoted Clark to the Managing Director position in April 2018, and has seen her trail blaze the route for the company all while making Toronto the fastest growing office in 2018.
Most recently, Thinkingbox Toronto launched a large-scale Genesis Motor’s Projection Mapping activation in Toronto Pearson International Airport. “It’s rare in our industry to see women in leadership positions–having Thinkingbox recognize my ability and open the floor to other women is empowering to me and my colleagues” said Clark.
Thinkingbox Los Angeles office has been led by Rania Hattar since January 2019. Hattar joined Thinkingbox from UNIT9, where she was an Executive Producer for 3 years and prior to that, an Executive Producer at ACNE’s Los Angeles Office. With over 17 years in the global multimedia industry, Hattar will oversee Thinkingbox’s further expansion in the US and its growing roster of clients in California. Most recently, Hattar and Thinkingbox team launched the Barbie Women’s Day activation in New York.
Sarah Scott is the latest Managing Director to be hired by Thinkingbox in February 2019. Scott was the VP, Business Director at Blast Radius for over 4 years prior to joining the Thinkingbox Vancouver team. She is taking over the strategic operations of the Vancouver office from CEO, Amir Sahba. With Sarah’s arrival, Thinkingbox has made several new hires continuing to fill out their ever-growing team.
The three new positions will see Sahba move to focus more on the growth of the organization and overall strategic planning of the studio’s long-term goals–continuing to push Thinkingbox to new markets and creative endeavours. He will continue to serve as the CEO and support the new Managing Directors in their respected offices.
“We are lucky to have such amazing, talented women lead our each of our offices. I am excited to see them mentor our growing team and personally learn from all three of them”, says Sahba, CEO and Founder at Thinkingbox. “Their drive, professionalism, and extreme management skills are above anyone I had the pleasure to interview for these positions and I couldn’t be more excited about our studio’s future”.
Here is to an amazing 2019!
