Los Angeles, CA — Global creative collective Thinkingbox has announced that it has appointed Jacob Hinmon as Creative Director and Andy Burdin as Associate Creative Director, joining its team in Los Angeles.
The announcement further signifies the shop’s ongoing growth and efforts to boost creative capabilities and prioritize strong client partnerships.
Joining the team from Unit9, where he was commercial director for 12 years, Hinmon has worked with clients including Samsung, Nike, Infiniti, Pinterest, and LA Dodgers. His commercial directing experience, paired with concepting, scriptwriting, shooting, and video editing, makes his skillset a tour de force for the Thinkingbox team, where he will drive the company’s creative and content capabilities into an exciting new chapter.
“My goal at Thinkingbox is to deliver innovative and exceptional creative work and help lead the creative department through this growth stage by expanding our international presence and reputation as a top-tier creative collective,” said Hinmon.
“Jacob has a strong eye for film and design, boosting Thinkingbox’s creative capabilities. He is an exceptional storyteller, which sets the department up to successfully tell beautiful stories with moving pictures to match,” said Rania Hattar, Los Angeles Managing Director, Thinkingbox.
Burdin comes to Thinkingbox from Loaded and brings a host of design experience and directing creative campaign efforts for clients such as 20th Century Fox, Marvel, Lionsgate, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Adidas Originals, Pepsi, Oakley, Dodge, and Lexus. He previously also held roles with digital agencies Ignition and Jam3. As Associate Creative Director, Burdin will be leveraging his extensive experience designing interfaces for web, mobile, live streaming, and AR/VR technology, as well as sharp conceptual skills to explore the many ways to blend technology and storytelling.
“Thinkingbox has a strong history of great creative work across the digital spectrum — from experiential, social, and beyond. The opportunity to join the team and focus my efforts on the agency’s gaming client, Riot Games, has me incredibly pumped. The creatives on this team are fantastic, and I’m hopeful that my experiences will both integrate, support, and elevate the outstanding work they already do,” said Burdin.
“Andy has fantastic experience in creative direction and design for the game industry, and with a depth that is rarely found. We are super excited to see him bring his artistic sensibility and passion to the team,” said Michael Kern, Chief Creative Officer, Thinkingbox.
